Navy Beach (16 Navy Road, Montauk, NY, 11954, www.navybeach.com, 631-668-6868) has announced the results of a seventh successful season of raising awareness for and funds on behalf of the Navy SEAL Foundation, a not-for-profit organization that provides immediate and ongoing support and assistance to the Naval Special Warfare community and their families. This year, the restaurant’s efforts raised $25,000 in funds for the organization, bringing the seven-year total of fundraising for NSF to over $175,000.
This year, the restaurant’s varied efforts included a “dine & donate” program running from May 1st through Labor Day during which lunch and dinner checks collected at least $1 per meal while allowing customers to donate additional funds at their own discretion and an annual cocktail party fundraiser in June that was attended by many local residents and business owners as well as active and retired members of the Naval Special Warfare community. This year’s event featured Tony Repinski, a former Navy SEAL who served our nation for over a decade earning multiple honors for heroism while conducting hundreds of combat operations who spoke on behalf of the Navy SEAL Foundation.
“Hooyah Navy Beach Montauk! It’s the Navy SEAL Foundation’s honor to call Team Navy Beach our long-time swim buddies. Year in and year out, the restaurant’s campaign of support generated from Father’s Day to Labor Day effects the lives of our Naval Special Warfare community and their families. We thank Navy Beach and their loyal patrons for staying true to the mission,” said Marc Wolf, Director of Development, New York Region, Navy SEAL Foundation.
Furthering their commitment to supporting local causes, Navy Beach launched a Montauk scholarship program for two graduating East Hampton High School seniors towards their college education.
